Never got my roses covered last fall - z5/Chicagoland

I never cut down and covered my roses last fall. The snow came early and tended to stay. It all melted this week.

Right now the weather has been great- relatively speaking- Lows 30s-40s, Highs 50s. This could change, but looking at the 10 day forcast, the lowest low is 32. (in 2003 we brought home my oldest on the 7th of april and it was snowing.)

Should I cover them now? Should I do anything to them now? They have dead leaves, they have hips, they are long (typically I use the cones over mulch so I cut them down in the fall to fit in the cones) and they are not tied at all.

I'm still a few years new to this and need help! Thanks in advance.
