Lunaria annua?

Kristi, just thought I should mention the Kordes perfume-fest Parole, aka Buxom Beauty. Was introduced to the USA in 2008, so it may have gone under your radar. Apart from its names (Jailbait/Dumpling - yeah, good work there, Kordes Marketing Dept), this deep cerise pink rose is pretty near perfect - no spray requirements, beautiful high-centred flowers with substantial petals (HUGE blooms in cooler weather), nicely productive with a fragrance that is really intoxicating and waft-y, richly sweet but sophisticated. No cold cream or myrrh. And it cuts like a dream. I'm up to six of these. They're my battery hens for vase filling. Just sayin'.

I agree that 15 is most probably burdock. Can you take a closer photo and tell us if the leaf and stem are fuzzy, smooth or prickly? 14 doesn't look like any dandelion/Taraxacum I've seen. It could be thistle or some type of Lectuca or something else. What is the texture of the leaves on this plant - fuzzy, prickly, leathery. . . ?

I'm with Mark Bischak and Jan. Do the minimum to get the closing and then have a contractor make the changes you want later. I recommend not doing oak end caps for $9500. Seems the builder is giving you a "go away, let me just finish this deal" price. Maybe the $9500 includes the carpet but still, seems high to me but I don't know for sure without more details and the market you're in. But my point is, it all seems pricey. What is your tolerance for doing work after the house is complete. Your mental health is worth something as you consider the options.
