The only one without a drainage hole is the lavender pot. Though I am endeavoring to find something sharp to stab some in there. I just got some cacti and succulent soil from Home Depot, and whatever the nursery had them in is mixed in as well. I asked the garden center guy about perlite, and he told me that wasn't good for them :/ (shows what he knows). I should of just gotten a soil mix from the nursery I actually purchased the plants from, but I didn't think that far ahead. I did get some rocks from the garden center and each pot has like an inch or more of those at the bottom (I think I read that helps with drainage) I've been paranoid about killing them, so I usually only give them a little bit of water, then wait until the soil is dry before giving them more ( I do the stick my finger in an inch or so and only give water if it's totally dry). Is there some kind of specific gravel I should get? I only saw stones at Home Depot (the white ones on top of some of the pots are what I am referring to). Feel free to give any advice about care, I am super new to this and appreciate any help I can get.

We did a similar move in December. We did what my grandmother would have called a "spit and shine", a half serious cleaning, and I am satisfied we did the right thing. Our experience would have me suggest putting off the floor refinishing until last. I've no thoughts on power cleaning.

I agree with all the IDs above. The tomatillo may worth harvesting when ripe, and may reseed if left alone, but the others might not be worth trying to save. (The brussels sprouts may produce and are quite frost-hardy, but you'd have to like Brussels sprouts . . .) None will be reliably hardy in 5b except perhaps the Brussels sprouts, but they would be going to seed next year and not producing. So if you are interested in a veggie garden next year, you may want to remove as much of the weedy stuff this fall as you have time (a bagging mower may remove some of the weed seeds along with the plants), mulch well wherever possible next spring to reduce the weeds getting started, and invest in a stirrup hoe for any areas you won't be mulching since that's the easiest way to remove young weeds quickly. If you won't be using it as a veggie garden next year, I'd again mow weeds with a bagging mower to remove what's there and then in mid-September plant grass since that's the best time to start grass in zone 5.
