English Daisy 'Rominette Red' (Bellis - perennis)

I bought these English Daisy in the perennial section. When I planted them, I noticed the tag said "Biennial". So if they have a two year cycle and they are flowering, may they not be back next year?

I think I might want to get collect seeds and try to start more for flowering next summer. The flowers are already giving seed. Would the correct procedure be to collect seed and start in flats now? Then transplant to garden in summer to grow out so they are big enough to overwinter and flower next summer. Or should I collect and sew in spring?

Any tips on growing these from seed? I know the seeds are tiny and they need light so they should be pressed into soil and not buried.
