Pretty Lady is very pretty indeed and while it is slow to get established, is a blooming machine. I got a bare root specimen in July 2006 when Park's had their mega-sale. It stayed a one-cane wonder the rest of 2006. The few blooms I got were very pretty. In 2007, it grew significantly and produced masses of beautiful flowers. No detectable fragrance is its drawback.

INK SPOTS is a really lovely, velvety, dk black-red that grows rather tall and upright. The blooms are long-lasting but rather smallish.
LYNN ANDERSON, in my climate, grows to about 8ft. The blooms are lovely, and repeat fairly well, but can blow quickly.
I hadn't seen many blooms on my PRETTY LADY, til I put it in the ground last spring. It's bloomed much better than previous yrs. So far, it's stayed about 3ft, and very bushy.

Ink Spots is a wonderful rose. I grew it for 2 years and then one day my mother visited and totally fell in love with this rose, begged me for it - so I dug it up gave it to her with the intention of replacing it again some day. She has her's in Texas and it is happy there as well. The blooms last a really long time, it was taller here than for her, but is still a pretty vigorous plant in her garden and her best performer.

Ditto on the tall Ink Spots. It doesn't get a lot of blooms, but they last long and are a very dark red, almost black. I'm considering moving mine further back in the bed and letting get sky high. If it had fragrance, I'd give it a 10.

I don't grow many floribundas or hybrid teas because I grow totally no spray. Pretty Lady is an awesome rose for me. I've got two of them. She grew in my death bed which held no moisture and was in competition with elm trees. She gets no disease to speak of, when in full bloom she was incredible. Unfortunately, for me, she had only 2-3 flushes each year, so I've moved her to an area with more sun and supplemental water. I'm expecting really big things from her. I recommend her to everyone.

Pretty Lady does just fine in New Orleans (very hot, very humid). Vigorous bloomer, has survived when other roses have died. (I have kids at home so rose care sometimes has to take a back seat to chauffeur duty, so to speak, and as a result, weak roses tend to die young in my garden).

Do NOT confuse "Pretty Lady" - a beautiful very pale pink rose bush - with "Pretty Lady Rose" - a recent Tom Carruth/Weeks rose that is a more intense pink. I'm growing Pretty Lady, haven't tried Pretty Lady Rose yet.

I have had both Ink Spots and Black Baccara for many years now. IS is a better plant while BB is a better flower; however, after a few years, BB will catch up to IS (if grafted). You should try and go back to the nursery for an exchange if cut flowers for the vase is your thing. Even if not, I've had BB blossoms last on the bush for three weeks, the blooms take forever to unfurl and keep their exhibition shape for two weeks. Unfortunately, there's no fragrance, and I have a good sniffer. Whichever you decide to keep, the flowers are less likely to burn if planted in a location with morning sun and bright light, but shaded from hot afternoon sun.

Where can I find a Pretty Lady ( light pink)? I have 7 Pretty Lady Rose (hot pink) from Breck's the end of summer rainbow collection sale, I bought 7 sets, so I have 7 Pretty Lady Rose. I love the color and fragrance.

Summersrhythm, I had been wanting the light pink/apricot Pretty Lady floribunda for years due to its reported blackspot resistance, but had been unable to find it. I ended up getting a band from Burling two years ago, so she may still be offering it. It didn't grow or bloom much its first year, but starting putting on some size and blooming quite a bit last year. It does blackspot some here in our high humidity, but hoping it outgrows that as it matures. The blooms are beautiful, but do fade to white fairly quickly in my hot summers.
