Blooms from today and yesterday
Comments (10)Thank you so much everyone! My Twilight Zone is on Dr. Huey, pretty sure it came from Edmunds. It's putting on two new basal breaks, which makes me happy. I'm pleased with it right now. Lily, hope your own root does good. I'm not a grafted vs. own root expert, I have several own root roses that are very vigorous though. Diane, Orchid Romance is one healthy rose! Yes, it is a Radler. It has been blackspot resistant, vigorous, and the blooms are fragrant, worst feature, it's thorny! Yes, I still have Madame Isaac Pereire. I think for the most part Bourbons do good here! MIP had to be cut back a lot, it is just now beginning to bloom. I do love the blooms, and their lovely fragrance. MIP puts out a few blooms after the spring flush, however, my best blooming Bourbon is Souvenir de la Malmaison, it repeats as much as a Hybrid Tea or Floribunda....See MoreA few Sunday blooms

Comments (10)I had the same opinion of Miranda Lambert and have been pining for one. I’d prefer bare roots as opposed to the big pots they sell at big big stores though. Another one for me was lavender crush, amazing fragrance, so intoxicating and it’s like you can smell it even looking at a picture! Sweet drift is also like that for me, plus my little peppermint pop, the cute little petals just LOOK like they should smell sweet :)...See MoreModern fragrant roses by color: PINK
Comments (28)Sara-Ann, My Scentsational came from Burlington Nursery 5-6 years ago. No photos I have seen of it show the pink color mine always has. Also, the flowers are heavily petaled and last a long time on the bush. The flower size is large for a mini, 2.75", Irresistible sized bloom, but it is not tall enough or quite large enough to be classified a miniflora. It likes to bloom a lot, but is not particularly vigorous, not lush looking. Scentsational reminds me of Gray Pearl in this regard. Its disease resistance to black spot is average for a mini - nonexistent! Spider mites like it too, just like all minis. As hard as I am on roses which have serious faults, I should have evicted Scentsational by now, but when it blooms, which is frequently (above average for a mini), it stops me in my tracks. It takes so little space, too, and I do spray for black spot and mites. I should start propagating it this year, because if it should die I may not be able to replace it easily.
