Don Juan Advice

My mom wants to buy me a rose bush for my 40th b-day. (She gave my sister cut roses, but knew I wouldn't be content with just a few flowers and would prefer to get flowers year after year.)

She has a Don Juan and I think it's absolutely beautiful. I'm thinking that's what I'd like to have, but am LOST when it comes to roses (I'm more of a "wildflower" type of gal). I know I can find most answers regarding care, sunlight, etc. by searching this site, but am wondering about things like what kind of support structure will it need (does it have to be a heavy duty arbor, or would a trellis suffice?). Will it be evergreen (or mostly evergreen) in my zone (Atlanta suburbs)? What would look good, and have the same nutrient needs to plant with/around it?

Any advice, suggestions on planting/care, sources for purchasing, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

~Michelle
