How do frogs get out?

Perry Smith

I have a pond with vertical sides. I put tadpoles in it and now there are frogs. They try to get out by clawing at the sides of the pond but they can not get out. Its about six to nine inches of space they need to climb.

I have a lotus and some of its leaves are in the water. The frogs get up on the leaves so at least for now, they have some place to rest.

But, do I need to figure out a way for the frogs to be able to get out and in of the pond? And, if I do, how is that done? I thought about putting a slanted piece of wood or something like that in the pond but I'm not sure they are going to be able to find it and figure out how to get out.
