Increasing humidity and airmovement, all at once

Hey everyone,

So in light of my recent unfortunate bout with fungus and thrips (an ongoing battle), I've decided that since I've made the plunge with the lights, I might as well go all the way and make this a comfortable cozy winter for the plants. I've tried humidity trays, and even a humditiy TUB...and I'm pretty sure it doesn't work very well. Then, today, I found this link, which suggests using a cheap computer fan over a tray of water to generate humidity and air movement. I could quite easily have 4 or 5 trays with fans set up around my plants (I'll have to do a little thinking on how to mount them etc...) but what do you guys think? Anyone have experience with this kind of set up? I am really attracted to the idea of these little 3" computer fans, since I'm sure with a bit of innovation they can be clamped onto the grow-shelf, offering convenient and mobile air movement.

If anyone has experience in what type of fans to buy, what kind of mount and adapters are needed, that would be great!
