Hi all Tropically speaking,I find bell peppers to be very difficult to grow on past the 6 month period. I like to consider them annuals because even if they press on past 6 mts, they look miserable and fruit size and quality diminish rapidly. Pruning only gives a little extension on life span. I suggest anyone trying to grow bell peppers as a perennial use an open pollinated variety. The hybrids produce heavily early and then are spent and deteriorate very quickly after that.They also seem to genetically self destruct.

Thank you all for the help! I'm going to keep the mystery dicentra/spectabilis where it is and see what it does... It's smaller and more "open leafed" than a different dicentra that I put in last fall which still look more like shoots... I'll post more pictures as it grows! :-). The galium will be moved somewhere else- I might be ok with a bit of spreading somewhere else, but not in this little area that I'm trying to make have a more organized structure and planting plan....

Also, How long do cuttings usually take to show new growth? I just did single segments because my grandmothers plant was pruned back really short when I got it.. so I couldn't really take 3 piece segments of it..
