Great pics, Krista. I was in the garden yesterday following a couple of very wet days, where lo and behold, I saw two of Mme. Perriere's buds in full bloom. A little the worse for wear but fragrant as could be. It was so lovely that I just pulled up a chair and sat within smelling distance in a valiant effort to hold that delicious scent until spring returns.

Krista, I can almost smell this rose just from looking at your pictures. I love the coloring and the intricate pattern of the blooms. Not a rose that would do well for me here so I'm really glad to see your beautiful pictures. I'm sure she'll be even bigger and more gorgeous come next summer.

Bellegallica, to me the fragrance is predominantly like fresh raspberries, with a hint of Old Rose. The fragrance is intense.

I forgot to mention the names of the roses in the background in the first pic. On the right is Marchesa Boccella, and on the left is The Mayflower.

Great pictures. I'm training one on my front porch railing now, hope to get some blooms like yours in the Spring.

This is one rose I'm willing to put up with bs, gangly canes and stingy summer bloom for. The blooms are exquisite and that fragrance! OMG! It's one I can actually smell and get giddy over.

Eric, you should really enjoy having the MIP up by the front porch. I have a few Bourbons up by the front porch, and love to sit on the porch and enjoy the fragrance during the summer, and especially in June!

I have MIP too but it doesn't look nearly as good as yours. It's a wonderful rose -- luscious fragrance and coloring. I especially like your last picture, with the nodding blossom and the raindrops -- beautiful!

Oh Krista I love that rose. I remember her sweet fragrance also. Such a pretty color too. Nothing like a pretty dark pink rose that also smells divine, yummy, my favorite kind.
