The airlines don't care about your comfort. Although you think you are purchasing a SEAT, you are not. You are purchasing the transportation from point A to point B. The reason why airlines don't have policies regarding obese people is because obese people have money too. Where will it end? Who will be the next pariah to ban? I have experienced many uncomfortable situations on an airplane that I could have very well complained about. Like the guy next to me picking his boogers and rubbing them on his pants. Like the tall guy in front of me who reclined his seat all the way and picked at the scabs on his bald head the entire time. Like the family with a screaming, kicking child behind me. Like the guy next to me watching porn on his Ipad. Like the lady next to me who's perfume application made me nauseous. Or the person somewhere on the plane with such bad body odor the entire plane stunk. If I purchase a seat, I shouldn't have to be subjected to any of these things that make me uncomfortable, right? But, whether you like it or not, we are all subjected to a social contract. We all have to put up with each others failings and that just so happens to make us uncomfortable on occasion. Of course it's not fair and makes us angry. That's a normal, natural feelings. But let me say again - how about a little compassion? How about a little less disgust for our fellow human beings? On another note, thanks Terriks. Louis CK is my favorite comedian!

Sorry this hit a nerve with some of you. Yes there are more significant issues to worry about. I look at it this way. The industry is already regulated in that the commercial isn't supposed to be louder than the loudest part of the TV program. All they have to do is tone it down- to the average decibel level of the program. If they are already monitoring the decibel level it might not be a big deal to continue to monitor it at a different level. There was a suggestion made that all we need to do to avoid the loud ads is to purchase a DVR and fast forward or use the remote to turn the volume down. Personally I don't find it very practical to sit there with a remote in my hand trying to avoid the commercials. My parents have enough trouble turning the TV on let alone utilizing a DVR and I'm sure they are not alone. It seems we are assaulted by noise everywhere we go. I don't find it unreasonable to try and control some of that cacophony in my own home.

I found this one to be quite funny. This guy hopefully didn't quit his day job to become a salesman!! Really, really ugly coffee table - $5 (77065 Cy Fair) Okay, this coffee table is ugly. It's REALLY ugly. I can't even believe I'm trying to sell it, it's so ugly. But it's also VERY sturdy. You can sit on it without even worrying about it collapsing beneath you. It'd be really a great thing for someone who just needs SOMETHING to put a big TV on, who wants to bedazzle furniture, or who doesn't want to send the "good" old coffee table to college with her son. I mean, hey, we all need some utility furniture at one time or another, right? Maybe you even want it to refinish it and sell it for megabucks... I promise I won't judge you for buying it if you won't judge me for having it to sell in the first place!We will be home tonight (Sunday) between 6 and 8 if you want to come see it.
