#1 Lambsquarters....some grow this on purpose and eat as a green. VERY nutritious weed indeed :) #2 Looks like Ground Ivy...Glechoma hederaceae (Lamiaceae-Mint Family). A nasty perennial weed with creeping stems especially when it gets into your lawn! #3 Elm....possibly Siberian Elm...Ulmus pumila...very invasive reseeding tree! I have a volunteer that I should have taken care of last year :( #4 Sumac species usually have some type of serrated leaf margine. Knotweeds usually have cordate (heart-shaped) leaves. I'm stumped....there are many plants/trees weedy or not that have compound leaves with smooth margins. #5 Mirablis (4 O'clock) Try this Gallery of Weeds of Ontario...broadleaf weeds Hope it helps find it. Thank you very much for the ID's. The first one is near the spot where I saw the bad-looking P. mugo subsp. rotunda about which I asked an ID too. At first I though they were both the same species because they looked similar, but when I went too look closer then I could see the cones were definitely different. Funny part is that someone else suggested in that thread where I asked for an ID that it could be P. thunbergii. So I guess both trees are similar looking indeed. The second one I think comes from a hedge close-by that was (I think) never trimmed and therefore started producing cones. The third one is almost a miracle to me. Closest Abies koreana that I'm aware of is at least a few hundred meters away from where I found it. I'm very glad I dug it out too because A. koreana was also on my wanted list. :)

#3 is Crassula ovata 'Gollum' 'Skinny Fingers' is a variety of 'Gollum' and thier is one more variety called 'Coral' that came from Europe a giant form the the above mentioned' Gollum' You have several 'Jade' plants in the pictures. One is very white and may not live. You also have a plant that looks like "Jade" but I believe could be Senecio 'Jacobsonii' which is a trailing plant. Don't let it fool you. The one with the red flowers, it 'Red Apple' can't recall the "Latin name" oh, yes 'Apetina". I am so glad to see that you are interested in names, many people are not and tease me because I am. Jo Jo I am pretty sure that you are right about #5 Crassula platyphylla This one of the reasons we need to know the names, if you have a problem with one of these just tell me that name, and see If we can be of help. Bella - your daughter's room is so pretty! Does she like having a princess room? I would love to replace the ceiling fan in my DD's room with a chandy, but we do use the fan during the hot summer nights. Maybe I could find a pretty antique looking desk fan instead. Mitch - I have no idea who to call for an estimate. We have a finish carpenter that we're going to use for trim and he comes with great references, but I'm not sure if finish carpenters actually build these types of cabinets/shelving. I'm uncomfortable just calling someone blind, since I had an unpleasant experience having a cabinet made (doors aren't flush, don't close properly, etc.) I was hoping it wouldn't cost more than $1500 or so, since they'd stay with the house and we've invested too much money already on a house that we intend to resell w/in 5 or 6 years! I guess I could recoup some $$ by selling her antique furniture and it would save so much space though. I really want to move her play kitchen and store out of my living room and into her own room! If anyone has any references in the SoCal area, I'd appreciate the info!
