Harvest

I didn't plant much this year. What I did plant, the drought was rough on. So there isn't much to harvest, seed or fruit wise. But I did give special attention to the two muscadine plants I bought and planted.

Well, these two plants are paying off this week. They are ripening and giving an excellent fruit. There is not enough to hoard to make wine or jelly with, but the handfulls that I have collected so far are sweet and eaten right off the vine. I'm also collecting and saving the seeds. Most of the individual grapes have four seeds. I've collected ~60 seeds so far. These will do for a winter project when the sun is sorely missed in a few months.

Suzy has mentioned one or two things she has harvested.

Anyone else?

Methinks it time to make plans to run over to apple country in North Georgia.
