Bald patches in new sod

I recently had sod (tall fescue) professionally installed at my home. I watered according to their instruction (45min-1hr) per day to keep the sod and underneath soil damp. However, I noticed that small bald patches started appearing at random spots in my new sod. I was told by the installer that 'roots or other debris that were deeper than the tiller depth' are probably the cause.

The problem is that they are occuring in areas where the previous grass was growing with no problems.

I haven't given the sod it's first 'haircut' yet, but I'm afraid to because it would make these patches more prominent.

My question is should I be concerned? Will grass eventually grow there, and if not, how to repair?
