GMO cancer paper to be retracted

The paper that produced a stir last year - of the OMG GMO = variety, is going to be retracted if the author does not withdraw it.

http://retractionwatch.com/2013/11/28/controversial-seralini-gmo-rats-paper-to-be-retracted/ A more in-depth look at the raw data revealed that no definitive conclusions can be reached with this small sample size regarding the role of either NK603 or glyphosate in regards to overall mortality or tumor incidence. Given the known high incidence of tumors in the Sprague-Dawley rat, normal variability cannot be excluded as the cause of the higher mortality and incidence observed in the treated groups.

Some of his control groups had higher incidence of tumors than the test groups ... that strain of rat will develop tumors in old age no matter what you do, and using them in a long-term feeding study was a bad idea.
