Yes, I agree that it is great for the birds. That flower head should turn into a big cluster of small purple berries.

I have another wild tree, too that has similar white flowering on it but it has fern-like leaves. What might that one be?

I'll bet it's a giant hogweed. Could that be it?

malasc, it's possible. The key there is to determine if it is a "woody" plant. I believe hogweed is herbaceous, meaning that it dies completely back to the ground each winter.

These are a few photos of this white tree with fern-like leaves. You can see the trunk of it isn't exactly woody although it's pretty thick.

I think that saltcedar's right about the Poison Hemlock- but I'd say it's the tree you described as opposed to the one with the photo (which I also would say is Elderberry). Check the link. ;)

Going by the leaves do you think that your elderberry may be Sambucus canadensis rather than S. nigra? The other plant is not a tree, but a perennial, and I think the Conium id is probably right.

I have the same "tree" in the ditch as the original picture in this post and I think the leaves look sumac-like. The hogweed has fern-like leaves. Based on that, what do y'all think we have here with the Queen-Ann_lace flowers and Sumac-like leaves?

The first pictures, the woody plant with the sumac-like leaves, is Elderberry, Sambucus canadensis, as was suggested. Quite common.

The second "tree" is definitely Poison Hemlock. Giant Hogweed doesn't have fern-like leaves, but more like a maple leaf(or a deeply lobed simple leaf):
