New Homeowner - Soggy Areas in Yard

Hello,

Recently purchased a a house in SW Missouri and have finally gotten the interior up to snuff. Now, I am focusing my attention on the lawn, as fall is just around the corner. I battled a severe drainage problem, mostly from downspouts dumping into the lawn. This issue has been corrected, however there are still a few spots that get excessively soggy with rain, though they surprisingly absorb a couple hours after rain, despite heavy clay soil.

I had planned on aerating and overseeding over the long weekend but the fact that I still have soggy spots is discouraging me from moving forward. My question to you all - will soggy areas of lawn be able to sustain healthy grass at all or would it be in my best interest to focus on installing drywells or the like to correct water issue before proceeding with renovation?
