Not a bad looking orchid and with tlc will be even better. I suppose some brave soul will tell you it looks like Blc. Memoria Crispin Rosales but looks like doesn't count for much in the orchid name stakes. I was checking the pics of Prosthechea radiatas and they have at least two leaves coming out of the bulb, this one has only one leave like a cattleya, and the plant itself is much smaller, also it is very fragant! so I think it is not a Prosthechea radiata.

I am not an expert in identifying cymbidiums but this one sems to have iridioides/tracyanum parentage. You can look up photos on the Orchid Societies Council of Victoria website. I grow Cym Bennett Poei, which is similar to your plant, and this is one of the first cyms to flower for me. Everyone says this is a cool growing orchid but it seems that it doesn't need a significant drop in night time temps to trigger the production of spikes and it can also tolerate a lot more sun than my other cyms. Are the flowers scented? I don't think there is a need to move the plant into the garage unless you want to protect the flowers from rain or slugs/snails that eat the buds. Cymbidiums like to be outside in a ventilated area. I leave mine outside year round in Melbourne and have never lost a plant to cold winter nights.

The leafy one looks like a Senecio. If it has a yello daisy like flower, it is. The spikes one is a Deuterochonia, previously called Abrometiella. Mir is Avery spikey bromeliad, and grows like a succulent rather than like the soft leaved bromeliads.
