I grow Schick hybrids, most are not as tall as that one, and darker green, though the spines and ribs seem the same, and the Schick hybrids do have all of the species in them that is mentioned above, including Rebutia. Well not quiet all of them. And they can be figured out by the flower, if you have the flower chart in color to do so. Keep your labels make duplicate copies of them, and put one in the bottom of the pot. Not all of them look alike, some hardly have any spines, and others have long ones, Bob Schick used to tell them apart by looking at them. Sorry for such a long post, Echinopsis are grown just like any other cactus and need the same care, for flowering give them a low 0-20-10 fertilizer approx. The middle number must be higher, the first number very low. No water in the Winter, they must have the chill and dormant periods to flower. They are extremely hardy, will flower 6 mo. at least of the year from the end of April to the end of Sept. depending on you climate, light where you grow them, feeding. May open 4 nights depending on light. Norma

Thank you very much for the ID's. The first one is near the spot where I saw the bad-looking P. mugo subsp. rotunda about which I asked an ID too. At first I though they were both the same species because they looked similar, but when I went too look closer then I could see the cones were definitely different. Funny part is that someone else suggested in that thread where I asked for an ID that it could be P. thunbergii. So I guess both trees are similar looking indeed. The second one I think comes from a hedge close-by that was (I think) never trimmed and therefore started producing cones. The third one is almost a miracle to me. Closest Abies koreana that I'm aware of is at least a few hundred meters away from where I found it. I'm very glad I dug it out too because A. koreana was also on my wanted list. :)

Just got my first Honeybells, and it is very vigorous, the new plant has a whopping number of shoots and eyes waiting in the wings. You can feel the energy off this plant. I think yours looks like Honeybells to me. And oh gee, you have inherited or bought yourself a nice clump of Golden Tiara. I am so pleased with the little potful that I acquired this year, GT does not know it is a small plant. Nothing wimpy about it. Cannot wait for it to look like yours!
