Day 16 Update Photos!

Well, technically it's day 16 but it's probably mroe accurately represented as Day 14 since I did not water for the first two days after seeding. It's technically two full weeks now since Ihave been watering regularly.

As you can see, my lack of water caused the germination period to be a little extended in my opinion. This morning was great for photos though because the temp drop caused dew to form and for the firs time this morning I could really see the grass coming up everwhere as the dew condensed on the blades... theyw ere hard to see arlier but this morning I could really see them! Awesome!

Anyways - here's some photos for everyone. I think, if i had had more water, my germination would be a lot better now, but I am glad to see my grass slowly but surely making progress. I think this will look a lot different in the next few days!

Looks good! The top two photos are interesting, you have to tilt your head to the left to view. You will see a big difference over the next 7 days.

Yeah, sorry, I need to adjust the pictures before uploading them... !!!

zhotster, Went to HD and picked up another bag of starter fertilizer, a bag of winterizer fert for November and 2 bags of Milanorgite for October (middle of the month). I would just recommend that you check the soil temps before using the Milanorgite in mid October, it is considered an organic and won't do much when the soil temps go below 55 degrees. Please do not get me wrong, it is wonderful stuff and I plan on using it myself as I want to go organic, it is just that soil activity (those little micro buggers)slow down in cold weather. Just to double check, you did get the Winterizer WITHOUT PLUS 2 WEED CONTROL. I am curious what everybody else was going to use going forward (next year)? Is anyone else going to switch to organics? I will still use the winterizer as a final shot in November.

Your Day 16 photos are definitely superior to my Day 14 images (the advantage of starting a little later and not fighting August heat, I guess).

Give that 7 to 14 days and you're going to have one beautiful stand of grass.

Looks good parafly9, great to see those pics! You had such a stressful start, but looking at that progress I think you'll be very glad you went through all that and got it done this year.

It'll get even greener soon. That's a nice plot of land however it needs some trees.
