Ringtones

If you're a cellphone hater, it's time to tune out. You won't like this thread.

I just had to replace my phone, and of course, ringtones aren't transferable from one phone to another. I like having a variety of ringtones, each unique to a certain caller so that I know immediately whether an incoming call is one I may need to answer right away or can safely allow to go to voice mail when I'm at work. Unfortunately, the selection that came with the phone is not at all to my taste, and the ones offered by my provider are limited more than I'd like by the type of phone I got. So I went and googled "ringtones" and came up with umpteen hits for sites where you have to subscribe to their service in order to buy ringtones. I only want half-a-dozen or so, not ten a month for the rest of my life.

Does anyone know of a good site for ringtone downloads without a commitment? (It's not an iPhone, so iTunes is out.)
