Update on cleaning the vases + a pretty!

Well, I tried windex, hot soapy water, vinegar, baking soda, and denture cleaner. The denture cleaner worked the best, and I think would have done the trick completely, if the baby bottle brush I'd bought had a longer handle.

So, I've decided that they are all clean enough, and I've got them all drying upside down on a towel in the kitchen today. When I get home, I'll try to find a place for all of them.

When I was out scrounging around for all the milk glass this weekend, I came across the plate/bowl, and fell in love with it. Isn't it pretty?

After a tiny bit of research, it looks like it might have been made by Haldeman, which is also known my "Caliente" I think. The company closed in 1953, so if it is a piece by them, it's older than my parents. :-D I got it for $8. Some similar ones on Ebay are going for $12-$24, so it looks like at least I didn't get totally ripped off. Yay!
