It doesn't seem to follow any pattern of sun or shade. It is just growing. It IS choking out the St Aug. Actually, if I knew what it was, I might not mind it being my yard. It is soft and cushiony. Any idea what it might be?

Nice work! I was trying to imagine to which family this thing belonged yesterday and I don't know why by saxifragaceae didn't cross my mind when it very well should have! After looking as the online plant atlas and Bonap, my best guess is micranthes nidifica. I also IDed a bunch of other saxifragaceae things that I'd been seeing along the way.

Something like Euphorbia hypercifolia 'Inneuphe'. In the US it is sold under the name 'Diamond Frost'
