Golf----could never play worth a hoot, but love it.

Love the guys who play in the tournaments.

Love to watch the guys play on our own course.

My DGS has to hear me give a play-by-play on every golfer we see on a green.

I tell everybody if I come back here, I'm coming back as a golfer.

I know Anele, I could hardly believe it when I saw the sticker! I grabbed that baby without hesitation. If you've sewn clothes in your teens sewing curtains will be a snap. It's all straight lines! Well until you get into the Pate Meadows patterns. I realize from working in fabric stores that most have trouble measuring and deciding how much fabric they need. I'd do the figuring in my head while my customers were reading the pattern. Which you don't need unless you are doing something like PM patterns. Panels, tiers and valances are a breeze. If you need help start a thread with pictures and measurements and possibly an inspiration picture if you're not making just one fabric panels. Which reminds me. I have slacks to hem for my hubby today! He needs them tomorrow. He was one, out of three picked, from of all the umpires in the state to do an allstar game and will be honored before the game. He bought all new uniforms so he'd look his best. Not that he always doesn't. He still has that military ideal of looking his best. You'd think this was his main job. He's a programmer analist for the University NE Med Cntr hospital during the day. He started umpiring for exercise when he got tired of playing softball.

FDH is going to have a talk to them. I copied and pasted some of your tips and comments for him because they are really good, so he can prepare his talk properly. I do think that PO1's comment to discuss feelings is good, but perhaps in our situation it might be better to make them think about how 'the team' feels when they are 2 'men' down, instead of how it makes us feel. Sweebie you are right, the point is to teach them to become responsible people. The way you explain it is really good, lots of copying and pasting there:-) About the coach of the team: I'm also amazed he has let it slide. They did change coaches halfway through the year, don't know if that made a difference. We kind of feel a bit embarrassed sitting on the sideline, knowing other people might think it's us that stuff these kids around. But hey, who cares right? We know the truth.. So here is the (annoying) update. The girls didn't come on Thursday, as they should have. BM sent a message to say they're not coming. We have also been down that road before. The kids know that they did the wrong thing, they don't want to face up to it, so staying with BM is easier. Not a real surprise. SD13 had a guitar lesson that night, which she missed because she didn't come to our house and BM was never going to take her (it's FDH's thing and he pays for it). Isn't it ironic, like really?? Here we are, again, with SD13 skipping a lesson that was paid for, for no good reason or without even telling FDH herself. Let mummie send him a message.. Aaaarrrggghhhh... So here's the plan. FDH will tell the girls once we see them that this is going to stop. This is not how we treat each other. So when the girls have a game, they'll need to confirm on the day that they're going. Otherwise we assume they're not. With the guitar lessons; SD13 gets one more chance. If she cancels one more time for no good reason, that's it. No more guitar. We will not pay for lessons that are going to be cancelled at the drop of a hat. Unbelievable :-(

Excellent! I did get that email too and I love LE quality. May have to shop! I got the best deal of the century, I think, on ebay. I bought my DD a really cool pair of frye boots that are sold out in most stores. Retail for 350. I got then for about 130, plus 20 shipping!! So 150 for 350$ boots, new in the box!! I hope she likes them.

We part company on this my friend. YUK..standing in the sun hitting a little ball around and wearing goofy clothes is not my idea of a good time,doing it or watching it. BUT..sounds like you are having fun. My dad loved playing golf and then when he could no longer walk very well,watched every tournament there was.

My court case was continued from October to April...lack of funding so this was the quickest it could be heard.

Planned my life around this April date.

Won't go into a lot of detail but date FINALLY got here, went to court, waited 1 1/2 hours as court started late, only two cases were to be heard as all other cases had been rescheduled. Well...when judge finally came into the courtroom, he rescheduled these two cases for 'next available date' which is 3-4 months from now because...are you ready for this...he was on the way to the Masters and was running late.

GGGGRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! is actually the nicest comment I can make on this public forum.
