Don't ever give up on rootless, 'eye-less' orchids!

Hope springs eternal and for good reason! 6 months ago I was in trouble. I had grown my catts too wet and root rot had killed off the roots of 2 of my catts. One (which was my absolute favorite) had all it's "eyes" blacken and it looked like it was just going to waste away without any hope for new pseudobulbs.

And winter was approaching. So I was in quite a nervous state. What to do? These orchids needed some heavy duty nurturing...so I called Mom. Who could nurture better than Mom?

And here they are now, 6 months later. The root-less wonder:

and the root-less, "eye-less" dying-for-sure catt:

So don't give up! Roots will grow, pseudobulbs will emerge. Just have give them proper conditions and time and they will do what they are naturally inclined to do...GROW.

Thank you all for your encouragement at that time. And now I'm glad to pass this on and encourage others.
