Planting some shrubs and trees today..question about organics.

We are planting a yoshino cherry and forest pansy today. As well as a rhododendron, gardenias, mountain laurels, and schip laurels. We are switching over to organic lawn care and I was wondering what to do about these newly planted trees and shrubs as well as the gazillion azaleas we already have. Should I be using anything for the shrubs and trees in my landcsape? We will be picking up some soybean meal this weekend for the lawn and wondered if there was anything I should get for the trees, shrubs etc. I have read in some old post of people using cotton seed for azaleas. Where do I find out how to care for my landscape using organic materials?

I am completely new to all of this, so please forgive me if I am not being clear.

Thanks,

Sandy
