Yes it is just a grocery store orchid, but I think it is really cute (it is a mini, those blooms are just a bit larger in diameter than a grape) and very healthy. Even the roots look great on it.

No idea what it is - no tag of course - but I thought it was a fun pre-Valentines present.

Kathleen, you're right, Replacements Limited is the place I'd go only if I was desperate for an important piece I couldn't find after a long search. They're definitely not cheap! Gail, too funny! VMP: oh my gosh, they do look a lot like my bowls! I'm absolutely floored by the replacement price for yours!! That coffee pot is just exquisite. Neesie, Yes, check your TM. I did call the other two in Albuquerque and neither had any of the fish plates, in any size. I keep thinking about them and may go back and buy the four dinner plates they had tomorrow while I'm in town. I don't know what it is about these plates, but I do like them a lot. Perhaps it's that they remind me of my childhood growing up in Michigan on the lakes. I hope you find some. Luvs, thanks! I'm going to take the brown and white flowered plates back tomorrow. I may use the money to buy four of the fish dinner plates ;^P

Cathy, considering how much flash flooding we've had lately, I suppose it's also ''unfair'' that we have a dry basement! We started looking at houses one year after the 1993 floods, and could tell wet basements were a real problem around here. (When in doubt, look for the house at the top of a hill, keep those drains and gutters clear, and grade away from your house!) One benefit of tonight's rain is the double rainbow I got a fantastic picture of right out my back door. I don't get to see many of those. Pam, if we did remodel, I'd be the one who is dedtired. We still live in Dorothy-land, so I'm trying to clear a habitable space in case of inclement (tornado) weather. Right now, I won't even go down there.

You might be right Terp because that's what my Baldens looked like in coloration, but if it's a mini I don't see how it could be a Kaleidoscope. Mine was full sized(relatively speaking).

I think it is adorable Alexa. Very sweet!

It's nice to see you are still buying orchids Alexa.

Ginnibug is correct, blooms the size of a grape wouldn't be Kaleidoscope. A pretty bloom doesn't really need a name - enjoy.

Hey Brooke! Yea - I am buying again since I had a disaster and lost all except 1 orchid. My 3 season room where they all seem to winter happily had the door left open over night a couple of weeks ago and everything froze and turned to mush. So - I am buying again :-)

Yes, when I say this is a mini - the pot is about 3 inches across and the spike is maybe 4 - 5 inches tall at most? I know there is nothing for scale in the picture. This thing is tiny and adorable! I didn;t know there were mini orchids. The blooms maybe slightly larger (I mean grapes do come in a variety of sizes) but I would guess they are about an inch across.

Anyway it is a little cutie and I am keeping it!

I agree, actually. I read too quickly and didn't see the mini part *D'OH!* BK isn't a mini at all, so this couldn't be it.

A cutie indeed. Received a Mother's Day gift last year of two mini phals..So cute. I hope they'll bloom again as prettily as your plant is doing.

Good morning! Sorry it took so long. It's Phal. Sogo Gotris 'Flora Ark'. Bought mine in bloom at a florist shop. Cut the spike down a bit after, and it's in bud on that spike again. Yahoo!

Sorry Elvis, its a swing and a miss. I have Sogo Gotris also, this is definitely not it. SG doesn't have stripes like this one.

Wow... thanks everyone for the continued guesses. I really appreciate all the thoughts about this little one! Her is the photo in a bogger size... when I posted the thumbnails they dont seem to enlarge properly...

This thing is a tiny monster.. it has 2 spikes and each spike has 3 branches with several buds on each. Despite the fact I brought it home in a blizzard last week (I am just north of Philly and we've had 2 blizzards in a week here) it only dropped 1 bud and is cranking out the new blooms..... I love it!

No id or not,some of these minis are great. O.k. really I do hate it that they don't have a tag,I do like to know their names. But some of these guys are just so fantastic with all the branching and so readily rebloom. Just such a great little plant Alexa. Ginnibug
