Eucalyptus leaves for gardens?

kathyp

My neighbor recently gave me all the leaves she had removed from her yard. Her loss, my gain! Only thing is, there are quite a few different varieties of leaves, including a lot of eucalyptus. I was planning on using the leaves as an addition to my lasagna beds, basically as a mulch, letting them compost down and planting thru them in the spring. Will I have any negative effect using eucalyptus? I also have a huge eucalyptus in my yard, but most of those leaves stay under the tree itself, so I have never used them in any quantity in my gardens.

Any info is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Kathy
