small engine part II...pic...I got to the carb!

Ok, I think I have determined my 1996 Simplicity snow thrower has an HSK600 Tecumseh engine. Last winter it started right up but immediately died under load only to restart and die everytime it hit snow. This is my back up but what good is it if it does not work. So, I am trying to save the old gal. I am no mechanic and only barely familiar with parts / terms. In my prior 'small engine post' I posted some pics of the engine. You guys pointed out the carb. Well I think I got the bowl off and now I am unsure what to do? Do I put seafoam in the bowl and clean it out...whats the process? I assume I clean that little screw and clear the hole..its a bit gunked up. Do I need to anything else--like with the part(s) still attached to the blower? Be specific please!!! Is there a way to tell if I was successfull or must I wait until it snows to see if it dies....Thanks!
