Lisa, Just a guess at the ID from your photo,but I think they are a fairly common brom by name of Billbergia pyramidalis,which are in many Florida home gardens.Easy to grow and reproduce rapidly.Philofan's advice is 'on the money'. Or you can cut off the bloomed mother plant,and leave the pup group as is,and they will fill in the space,and/or you can relocate the whole plant,roots,soil,and all, wherever you prefer to have it.
