I have a plant which, after careful research, I assume is a Brom. It's currently about 1 and a half feet high in a fairly shady position. It has spiny sword shaped grey green leaves around 6 inches long that grow in a similar pattern to Aechmea 'Exotica Mystique'. The leaves are slightly variagated with a slightly darker colour in the middle but are essentially grey green. The stalk is the most prominent feature which at the base is grey green like the leaves but as you ascend becomes a dark-ish lilac going through lighter lilac to pink at the top. The plant has (as yet) not flowered. I have NO IDEA what it is so if anyone has a clue it would be great to find out because it's a stunning plant!
