I just had to replace the drainage lines running from my house, and in the process had to dig up most of my front yard. I still have some remnants of healthy grass on either side of my front yard, but I am at a loss for how to even begin repairing the giant brown dirt bowl in the center of my lawn. Before everything was dug up I had a pretty healthy lawn, so I'm assuming the soil was good, but I'm not sure if after having the earth dug up and back filled the dirt that is now on top is suitable for seeding. I have a decent slope to my front yard and it's been raining recently in the Philadelphia area and most of the dirt is just washing down onto the sidewalk, and everything I've been reading says you can't grow grass in the summer heat, so I don't know what to do.

Please somebody help me!
