hardy table grapes for an arbor

Any one out there growing some of the hardy table grapes?

We are putting an arbor on the end of a sunny southwest deck for shade and a bit of fruit. Growing them this way we will obviously not be able to lay them down for winter protection. I am curious about peoples experience/tastes with:

King of nOrth

Worden

Bluebell

Kay Gray

and Swenson red

I suspect the swenson red is too tender for an arbor here in mountanious vt4...and I am a bit worried that king of north may be too tart for the family pallet.

Seperately, the arbor would be 8X 10-12 with four vines. I had thought to plant several varieties to space out harvest some, as well as add a little interest. But I have never grown grapes before and am concerned that varying growth habit and vigor might make for a hodge-podge appearance to the canopy?

Last question...the powdery mildew that effect grapes is the same as that effecting squash and Minardas(beebalm)? yes? We tend to get hammere on those as a result of heavy dew (I think) and if it is the same I need to focus on vines that are less suceptible.

Thanks for thoughts
