MARRIAGE SEMINAR

While attending a Marriage Seminar dealing with communication,

Tom and his wife Grace listened to the instructor,

"It is essential that husbands and wives know each other's likes and dislikes."

He addressed the man,

"Can you name your wife's favorite flower?"

Tom leaned over, touched his wife's arm gently and whispered, "It's Pillsbury, isn't it?

Love it! My DH does most of the grocery shopping these days due to my crazy work schedule. He knows it has to be 'Gold Medal'.

Oh gosh, that's a funny one! But I have to give my DH credit, he has taken an interest in the last couple years, and can name alot of flowers, and knows that my favorite is Black-Eyed Susans!

OK...I read the other post and didn't chime in. But now I have to fess up. I always iron... and starch with lavender scented spray starch...my sheets. I had a place that did it for me for a reasonable price...then we moved. Here, I can't find any place to do it for less than $15 PER PIECE!!! Now I'm used to ironed sheets...310 Charisma...so smooth, so I can't go back. Ironing king size sheets is a b***h, but I "Do It Anyway". Now here is my "dirty" little secret....I don't change them every week. We had a severe water shortage for a while and I decided if I change the pillow cases every week I could "cheat" on the sheets...and the pillow cases are a snap! It's not like we dig ditches for a living! We just aren't that dirty when we go to bed...unless we want to be!

I'm surprised at your reactions to this as exam tables and general business furnishings are commonly sold on CL. Currently in the Portland OR and Seattle areas, CL here has close to 10 postings for exam tables (and some include the gyn app)....not that I'm in the market. :) I have looked recently for office furnishings though and knew that if business office furniture was common, medical must be as well, so I checked just now. As for the Ewww factor, doctors always use disposable covers on them, disinfect regularly, and frankly, when we're examined, they don't buy a new table for each of us, so just keep that in mind. :) I think when you consider it that way, it's really not a strange thing to realize that one office might sell used items. Am I being naive here?

I've got a 28ft extension ladder (28 ft when collasped) and it is all that I can handle. I could not lauch a larger ladder! I use it to service my 2-story house. For everything else outside, I use an 8 ft, fiber glass, step ladder. The 8 ft ladder is a little large to use inside, so I kept a very old 6 ft wooden step ladder from the first house that we owned. In the not too distant future, I should dispose of the wood ladder for safety's sake. suspect that its load rating is about 2/3 of what it once was. I am a guy, and yes, you can have too many ladders. You have too many when you run out of storage space. Build a shed or barn and you can have more ladders. (It requires more ladders build a barn, you see.)
