It will run. Not my favorite mixture. Lawn-Boy oil is dilluted with mineral spirits and Marvel Mystery Oil is mineral spirits and naptha with some oil.
My preference is Amsoil 100:1 synthetic mixed at 50:1. I also have used Opti-Two as well as Mobil 1 racing synthetic. All the synthetics are virtually smoke free and build up no carbon. So far after years of use I have had no engine failures or needed any port cleaning.

I'm not sure if I'm a "good guy" but I can attest that LB oil and MMO or Seafoam at that rate will keep you're 2 cycle engines free and clear of carbon buildup and stuck rings. I've been using 2 oz of seafoam and LB oil at 32/1 ratio for one gallon of mix for years and my engines look as good as the day they were new. I also never have carb problems either.

You might consider bumping that ratio of MMO up to 2-3 oz for two gallons of mix. I'm not sure what MMO recomends for 2 cycles though.

I also like 1 oz/gal of MMO for two or four cycle. It adds some 'top' oil and contains Stoddard solvent for general cleaning and de-gunking. I recently sold a LB 10201 I had been using Opti-2 in (66:1) with 1 oz/gal MMO, and I pulled the plug before shipping it just to look - it was clean. I believe MMO added to any 2-cycle oil is a 'magic' mix which may very well eliminate cleaning exhaust ports/mufflers. In 4-cycles I also add Sta-Bil. Practically all 2-cycle oils now include fuel stabilizer. One guy on here a couple years ago said he was astonished when he put straight MMO into the empty tank on a 2-cycle Lawn-Boy to pull it through for winter storage - and it started! Sort of, anyway, smoking like a mosquito sprayer. Now that is a good fogging oil! There are many uses for MMO, but many mechanics are now using it in their air tools.

Totally agree fellas. MMO @ 1oz per gallon either premix or straight fuel helps out in a lot of ways. Used it like that for about 12 years now with now ill effects anywhere. Extra protection and cleaning. How can you go wrong with that? I gave up on Lawn Boy oil about the same time ago because of the excessive smoke and smell. I tell ya though, I LOVE the smell of 2 strokes running, but week in and out in 90 degree heat, sweat dripping everywhere and enough film stuck in the back of your throat to catch flies, made me lean to multi purpose oils and then to cleaner running semi-synthetics. Happily ever after I must say!!

Wow! A real MMO fan club. I have some on the shelf, and don't know what to do with it. I have it from an effort to get a 4-cycle 18 HP B&S Twin running better. I finally replace the in-carb fuel pump diaphragm, and the engine ran better. So, an almost full can of MMO sits on my shelf waiting for my next "mystery".

I tell ya guys, the stuff does what it claims to. Another story. Had a family memeber who bought a 1967 Cessna 172 with a Continental opposed 6 cylinder some years back. Overall and by law, all airplane engines must be maintained and logged as such. Anyway, there was a cylinder that had a sticking exhaust valve, and the owner began to dump one quart of MMO in with each fuel up, and the condition never came back!! Since I've started using it, especially in my new engines, along with a dose of Sea Foam every now and then, I've never had any carb gumming or dried diaphrams in fuel pumps. No fuel system issues period.

My LawnBoy Duraforce and my string trimmer loves the 8 oz LB oil, 1 oz MMO and 2 gallons of gas mixture.

My string trimmer's throttle response and RPM's have really improved.

I can't wait until the grass gets thicker later this season, then it's on with the Duraforce power mode.

That mixture is right since the 8 oz of LB oil combined with the 2 gallons of gas works out, of course, to a 32:1 ratio. I don't want to start a debate over mix ratios and synthetics, but I am very hesitant to run any of my extinct 2-strokes on a leaner mixture. I have 2 Duraforces, 2 F's and a D-433, and they all get 28:1. Marvel Mystery Oil helps with lubrication and general cleaning like Saxman says and certainly won't hurt your engine.

been using MMO as an engine fogger for yrs. I started using it in all my OPEs fuel. I have experienced waaaay less carb troubles and generally easier starts. It works well as a fuel add in my 528e. Ive even added a little to the crankcase 500 miles before an oil drain. Yrs ago, I rebuilt an ancient fuel pump that had been sitting on shelf for several yrs. The diaphragm was dry and brittle. Had I used it in that condition , it would have failed in short order. I soaked it over night in MMO and it was good as new. The pump ran the Jeep until I junked it 5 yrs later. Maybe all I'm experiencing is placebo effects, I dont care, I love the smell

Not at all. Seafoam is a great product too. MMO just has a different formula and more oil. I live on the East Coast in the Mid-Atlantic. I go to the coast fairly often, and here's what I have learned; when you see products for sale in convenience/gas/grocery/bait/tackle shops at the coast, it's because they sell, because they work. You will find Seafoam where marine supplies are sold.

I just mixed up the third batch of Lawn-Boy fuel mix today. I use Mobil One Racing 2T fully synthetic oil, 8 oz. plus 1 oz of Stabil gas stabilizer in 2 gallons of 87 octane unleaded. No problems what so ever in about 40 gallons of mix over 2 1/2 years. I also have both MMO and Seafoam that I use if I have a fuel system problem in any of my small engines.
