Take all root rot

dbudny

I normally have a golf course quality lawn that I spend a lot of time maintaining. Last year I bought some cheap top soil from L**** to level a low spot. A couple of weeks after, my grass started to look really bad with several huge dead spots. I tried everything to bring it back.

I saw an article by Neil Sperry about Take All Root Rot. Although it mainly effects St. Augustine, Bermuda is starting to to be effected here in North Texas. The article explained how peat moss can to used to overcome this terrible fungus.

I went out and got several bales and spread it down over the bad spots. All I can say is WOW! The bermuda is now starting to spread out and fill in after only 2 weeks of keeping it wet.

I just wanted to share this in case anyone else is having this issue with their lawn.
