Help w/ Peach Tree Disease ID

Picture was taken May 15 this year. This is a relative's genetic dwarf peach tree (mature, probably nearing end of useful life) in Sacramento, CA. The tree stands about 6 feet tall and although still fruits, it has been in obvious decline for the past several years -- the vitality was obvious lacking in this years shoot/foliage growth. They never spray, prune, or otherwise care for the tree except for waterings.

It has some deformed leaves with small pink bumps. But what looks the strangest to me are the dark red/purple globules all over the place. I don't think these were fruit, I want to say they told me they were puss-filled -- but my memory is not serving me well. There were quite a few ants farming on them, too.

This was well past flowering/shuck fall, if you notice the glimpse of the last pic there shows the fruit were already green and just smaller than golf ball.

Thanks in advance!
