Yellowing fruit plants

Hi, I'm currently having problems with my raspberry plants. I have two and the leaves on one of them are turning yellow. I have had this plant for a couple of months and it was doing really well at first but now I'm not sure what is going on. Only the older leaves are yellow and it is still growing new ones which are green so it may be normal. Also I have a pomegranate tree and it's leaves are yellowing and falling off. Thank you

Where do you live? Try giving the raspberries some epsom salt they tend to yellow with a lack of magnesium. It could be the same issue with your pom......though I have yet to figure out the poms.

'Only the older leaves are yellow....' Plants discard older leaves naturally. It is not necessarily a problem. And I imagine that even in z10 raspberries and pomegranates are deciduous or semi-deciduous. It is late September. Maybe the yellowing is just Autumn happening?

that very well may be also, and most mildew is also a result of far to much moisture...there are a at least two other gardeners that have mildew infestations, as yet i have been very lucky and have not yet had to deal with mildew. i have slugs and earwigs...eating my poor pumps. a mildew is a coating on the leaves, and your leaves look as if the discoloration is internal, part of the flesh. is there a dust or spore from the leaves when you touch them or pat with a white towel?

haha, Bruce you are awful! I agree with Bruce on the color. I'd advise chicken wire around the garden. I have a 3ft rail fence around mine, covered in chicken wire. It keeps out the rabbits, but my Kuvasz continually jump the fence. Couple of years ago I put powdered milk and epsom salts in the pepper holes at planting. Next day while I was at work and husband got home early, he let the dogs out and left them. When I got home my 6 month old puppy had jumped the fence and had dug up every single pepper to eat the powdered milk. :-( they were all dead by the time I found them.... surprisingly she is still alive and so is the husband.

"I" think it would be impossible for anyone to say definitively what's going on. You're buying seedlings so I think you should ask your supplier what's going on. They may have changed their seed supplier or they're having problems with their supplier getting true seed? Hard to say. Start with the folks you've been getting your seedlings from. Bill

I live in California. I guess they may be losing leaves do to fall but lately it has been hotter than it was all summer. The pomegranate has been like that for a little while now but the raspberry is more recent. Is it normal on a raspberry plant to but have all the leaves near the middle turn yellow while the outside don't, not yet anyway. Thank you

I'm 9b in Nor Cal and yeah they are getting ready to go dormant here. Probably fine but pics always help....
