In ground spa vs partial in ground spa
Comments (4)Most manufacturers offer their spas without the skirting. You can install either a skirted or unskirted tub in-ground. You can dig a hole and build a box (concrete or cinder block) that the tub will sit in with one side 3' wider for access to the equipment(if your tub is 6'X6' the inside dimension of the box should be 6' X 9'). Build the box so the top of the walls are just below finished grade, depending on your finishing materials. The elevation of the floor should allow the tub to sit on the floor with the lip slightly above the finished height of the walls (not hanging from the walls). Set the tub in place and landscape up to it. Build a removable wooden "deck" over the equipment area. Don't forget to bring power/water to the equipment area. This will only work provided drainage from the bottom of the box is not an issue.I have left the bottom of these boxes gravel....See MoreIs ground to common better than no ground at all?
Comments (3)it's best to leave it ungrounded and GFCI protect it labeling it so it's known it doesn't have an equipment ground, or install a 2 prong receptacle. You can not to what you mentioned because you could end up with objectionable current to ground. There is only once place that the ground and neutral are bonded, the main panel. Any other panel, or anywhere else, they shall remain separate....See MoreConnecting wire with ground, to wire with no ground
Comments (2)You can't just twist the wires together and wrap the connections in electrical tape. At minimum, you need to use wirenuts or some other applicable device to hold the connection together. The new cable I have already purchased is twisted cloth covered cable - it's vintage inspired, therefore there is no ground wire You bought the wrong cable. Return it and get something with a ground wire too....See Moremango seedling, to be in-ground or not to be in-ground for the winter
Comments (2)Adaptation: Mangos basically require a frost-free climate. Flowers and small fruit can be killed if temperatures drop below 40° F, even for a short period. Young trees may be seriously damaged if the temperature drops below 30° F, but mature trees may withstand very short periods of temperatures as low as 25° F. The mango must have warm, dry weather to set fruit. In southern California the best locations are in the foothills, away from immediate marine influence. It is worth a trial in the warmest cove locations in the California Central Valley, but is more speculative in the coastal counties north of Santa Barbara, where only the most cold adapted varieties are likely to succeed. Mangos luxuriate in summer heat and resent cool summer fog. Wet, humid weather favors anthracnose and poor fruit set. Dwarf cultivars are suitable for culture in large containers or in a greenhouse.
