I'll be getting the Ortho at HD for now to get the few random spots I have. For next season I think I will buy the powder in a larger quantity online unless Scotts puts out a liquid concentrate. Thanks for the info!

If you don't mind using a little Round Up (organic gardener talking here), you can just squirt some on the root after cutting off the top.

I was thinking Poa A or T... Nutsedge in my yard grows straighter & more upright & the color difference isn't that obvious. Tough to tell though.

This looks like Dallisgrass, and if so, it is a terrible weed. The bane of my existence. I've got Bermuda here, which stays pretty short. The Dallisgrass grows nearly quadruple the speed, and sprouts seed heads nearly overnight if we get a good rain. The only surefire way to kill it is to spray it with roundup. Unfortunately. Now, the trick to doing this with warm season grasses is to spray the roundup when your grass is dormant for the winter, since the Dallisgrass stays green a few weeks longer. However, I'm not sure if fescue would offer the same window as bermuda would, so you may want to do some research on it. Ultimately, though, you're going to want to kill these things however possible. Personally, I'm okay with sacrificing a bit of beauty and get the brown patches where I kill the stuff so it doesn't spread more.
