Welcome Beecharmer2! This is such a fun forum with the nicest of people! If you look on the GardenJunk homepage, you'll see "FAQ" at the top of the page. It tells how to make some of the cool projects you see on the forum. There's one for marbles on bowling balls...same idea as pennies. I'll post the link below. I haven't grouted mine but I bet someone else will speak to that. This was my first bowling ball. So easy and FUN! When you do a bowling ball, have a container you can sit it in. I used an old heavy pan. The GEII is a silicone sealant. I found mine in the glue department at Lowe's. Have fun! Post a picture if you create a Bowling Ball masterpiece!!! Thanks everyone- I think I have decided not to grout, because I kind of like it the way it is too. I can't wait until spring comes, so I can put it outside and see what the sun hitting it looks like. Is there a recommended spray I should coat it with for weather protection that won't dull the look? Or is it ok to leave it alone?

thank you, thank you. I have to give the credit to nanatricia, she posted one quite awhile ago that I just fell in love with, I tried to find it, but it looks like the link to the picture is broken. Anyway, its a bowling ball, I took candy wrappers -foil type ones, and oreo and nutter butter lunch pack wrappers :), though on another one I'm working on, I discovered that gum wrappers are a dream - siliconed them down on the ball, took safety glass (courtesy of my Mom breaking her patio table as she got it out this Spring) and siliconed that over the wrappers, then grouted it. One thing I did discover, if you find you have a loose piece of glass, its very worth your time to go back and re-silicone it, don't expect the grout to hold it there - it won't. I still need to seal it, then I'll put it out in the sun and watch it sparkle!! Before I give it to my cousin ;)
