What tool do you hope 'Santa' will bring?

My husband was just asking me what gifts I would like for Christmas, and I wondered what gardening gift you all would ask for (For Christmas, or Hannakuh, or Winter Solstice, or whatever you celebrate).

Right now I'm looking at the Garden Natural Radius Grip PRO Edger #206 for $30 and the Garden Kneeler Bench for $24.99 from Amazon.

What gardening tool do you hope "Santa" will bring?

I want an Earthway garden seeder and one of those old fashioned big wheel cultivators.

Santa was very generous this year. Along with a bunch of scrollsaw blades, paint brushes, oil pencils, tips for my woodburning tool, hubby surprised me with a Taurus 3 glass saw. I about fell out of my chair. I never even mentioned it but my two other saws are out of commission so.....................Yeeeeeeeeeeee Hawwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! I am a happy camper. Santa's helper's (sister in law and partner) got me my carbon paper I desperated needed, more tips, paint brushes and oil colors and three new paperbacks from my favorite authors. Plus they got me a new woodburning pen with lots of tips and extra doodads.............Yeah! I'm glad someone reads my christmas list. I don't know which project to do first................ I was going to take down the little 3 foot christmas tree (freecycle)and hubby said no leave it up ? ? ? ? ? He suggested I make ornaments for Valentines Day, St. Patricks Day, Easter, etc and hang them on the tree............Wow what a great idea! Hugs, Judy

Where I currently live, I only have a balcony and it would be pretty hard for someone to get to it to take anything. I did live in Greenfield for a while and had my own outside area for my apartment. I was amazed no one took any of my stuff but then maybe they didn't like it. They did steal patio furniture off of some of the patios. That has got to suck to have stuff stolen. My boyfriend and I have tossed around the idea of moving into a home he owns in a kind of rough area of town to save money. I know people would probably steal stuff out of the front yard there. I thought I could make some big concrete birdbath or something that would give them a hernia if they tried stealing it. Congrats on the new baby niece!

Had a good christmas, got a crock pot,a small one i wanted,subscription to Science News, clothes galore. A promise for flower pots i wanted,and from myself a promise to get more daylilies. There was just DD and myself for Christmas but we made the rounds to neighbors and had fun. Also got some more freebe seed catalogs. Can't garden but i can still dream. I have been absent for months, but that's because I had to have a bone marrow transplant. I won't be able to garden this year as I can't have my hands in dirt or breathe dust (too much risk of infection), so I'm going to enjoy reading about all your planting exploits. The up side to this is that my donor is 22 years old. It's been my contention that I will be 22 again when I get completely well. :-) That's a far cry from 55, so I know I will be able to garden with much more ease next year. LOL. Becky

I'm hoping he'll finish my greenhouse!
My old one blew away a few too many times, so he started making one with old windows and sliding glass doors.
I've had to hide some things in my neighbor's GH cause of this horrible freeze we're having in sunny CA, but still lost a bunch of stuff! HoHoHo!

Last summer I asked Santa for an Excaliber nine shelf dehydrator (factory refurbished) as an early Xmas present, so I'll put it back in the box, slap a ribbon on it and put it under the tree.

A self dumping, four wheeled, self dumping garden cart that holds HUGE amounts, and with the removal of one clip, can be coverted from hand to mower pulled ..for 69.00 at Tractor Supply! My aching back and composting efforts scream for such a beauty!OH the ability to download bags of manure or carry supplies and tools from my truck in the driveway to my back yard, or just be able to dump leaves where I want them!

Hmm, a seedling heat mat sounds good to me, too! I was thinking stirrup hoe, but that circle hoe looks great!

I would be happy with a small tractor with a 4 foot tiller. If not that, a 30 by 48 or 30 by 96 high tunnel. Maybe a magic button that will kill every bad weed or bug in my garden. Hey, what about a new garage with an attached greenhouse for seed starting. Well, if he is delivering an new mower would be nice too. Oh, I know about 10000 feet of drip tape. I don't think I have been that good!

Well I would probably just settle for my own copy of the Eliot Coleman Winter Harvest or Four Season Harvest books.

I have all the tools anyone could ever need, and don't even use half of them. I could use someone to help me do the heavy lifting, digging, weeding, compost turning, mowing, planting, weed whacking, seed starting, growing, harvesting, cooking, etc. Whew! I'm exhausted just thinking about it. If we didn't have winter, I'd never get a break :)

i hope to get one of those heaters that go on top of a 20lb propane tank to use to heat the green house in case the electricty ever goes out.

dygg, I have a Circle Hoe and never use it. I much prefer the Kana Hoe for weeding and cultivating. The circle hoe does not match the precision or production of the Kana Hoe. I have a couple of kana hoes but the Japanese one with the curved blade linked below is the one I prefer.
