Birdfeeder pole made from trash finds

Here is a birdfeeder pole that my hubby made for me. He had the pipe because he's a plumber, but the spiral thing was something a friend let him have that HE found in the trash & was going to take to the scrapyard. My hubby thought he could do something with it that I would like. The brass finial at the top was the handle from a set of fireplace tools that hubby "eagle-eyed" in a dumpster. I told him he needed to put the other brass handles at the ends of the 4 rods too, but I don't know if he plans to do that or not.

The birds seem to love it because they can perch themselves on the rods while they're waiting their turn at the feeders when they're full.

I hope to post more of my junk finds & makings soon. I'm working on a gazing BB. I've gotten so much inspiration on this site! I'm trying to think of a unique idea for a wooden extension ladder I got this weekend for $8, besides using it for a trellis.
