i called the DMV today and asked them what they do with the license plates that are turned in and if they would consider letting me recycle them for them. LOL. I also emailed a couple of aluminum recycle places. I will let you know if I hear anything. I hate when I have to pay postage on the internet but if all else fails I will email you about your plate guy. I brought 8 bags of assorted color luster style flat marbles for my bowling ball project from the dollar store. Everywhere else they were $2.94 a bag. I went to the dollar tree website and found you can order 24 bags of gems for $24 and have them delivered to your local store for free. The gems are flat and the marbles are round by the way. This is news for people who use them a lot or sell crafts at the flea market. 24 bags of these is equal in price to 8 bags in Walmart!! and it was recommended that 8 bags will do one bowling ball. so that equates to 3 balls of gems for the smae price as one from Walmart or Joannes. Also Dollar tree has oil and vinegar jars that I think will be VERY nice to make bottle bugs out of although the bottle is so nice I might wind up keeping it for oil and vinegar. Thanks Denise, that's what I was kinda thinkin with the variegated kerrii, I just don't have a fondness for them, kinda like KP, something about variegated leaves, have never been my cup of tea. So, I will probably leave it for someone that realy appreciates them. It did have very nice variegation tho, very consistent through out the plant, as well as a good contrast. The white edges were very attractive. . . but $36.00 is a lot of money for a ho hum plant. . . and if they're slow growers and have a tendency to loose their variegation, well that's even more reason not to buy. I chatted with the lady that works at the plant store yesterday. Seems that store gets quite a few hoyas in. She mentioned the hoya *rep* that comes in on occassion, so maybe I'll get lucky and stumble on some other nice, and not so common hoyas. I wouldn't say the obovata you gave me has deformed leaves. They just look weird when they're new. Once they mature, they look a lot better. It has 5 new leaves on it right now and if one didn't know better, they would think it was dying a slow death. . . I really like the plant tho. Maid~

What a haul you got Pat...Daisyme outdid herself. I got a box full of delicious items today from Texas Fern.Pat thank you so much for all the goodies. I have already used some of the metallic gold tiles. I am in love with the seahorses and all the ceramic fruit. The chandelier prisms are to die for. The marble and unglazed tiles will be in a project very soon...I am already thinking and thanks for the vitreous tile and especially the tiny red ones. Red is so hard to find.
