My Yard Sale Angel & other goodies

I hope I haven't posted more than once,every time I clicked "submit" I got booted :) and I don't see the posting,so here goes again! I got this angel,going to cut the arms and candle holder off,and put it on my little greenhouse. I got the angel,a tea cup,a saucer and a plate for a dollar. Got the huge cup and saucer for a dollar to make my friend a bird feeder. And I paid a dollar each for the milk-opal glass,I love them! My DH's friend gave me 3 tubes of GEII that was given to him,he knows I use a lot. I got 3 clear glass vases for making another birdbath,2 for a quarter each,and the other for 50 cents. And I got a silver plate covered butter dish to mosaic for 75 cents for a trinket box. My DH got a Peavey amp for 3 dollars!

Wow!! You found great things. I want the angel too. I wish I could find cups and saucers here for those prices. The milk glass is awesome too. Great finds!

Great haul there. You just so excited you were not hitting the right button probably.

You are gona dismember the Angel? Why? Then it will just be a super cool cutout...oh you will use it as an cool trim on your greenhouse? It looks like the wings and arms fit over the wood like a shawl so to speak. Maybe you could unattach and use it on a fancy dowel and have a garden angel again. June

Thanks everyone! I thought the ice cream freezer was cute, its barely a two quart size, smaller than most. I think I'm going to use it to display with many of my other green kitchen collectibles. I have a nice electric one for making ice cream! :)It did remind me of when I was a kid and my parents had a hand crank one. I used to have to sit on top of it while they took turns cranking it.:) The box you see in the background is one that I use for a shelf for some collectibles. It normally hangs on the wall in the kitchen and I had set it out on the porch so I could clean it up some. The BB will eventually be a fountain. I won't be adding marbles to that one! LOL! Its cool just the way it is.:)

Wow and LOL! You got some great stuff. I never thought of myself as a hoarder, just a collector. Sold most of the stuff or gave it away to go fulltime RV. That lasted 6 months. Have our single wide stuffed now. Wish I could have a yard sale. We live in the middle of nothing now. Too far away for many people to come too. There's another yard sale that is a few states wide. I always wanted to go to that one.

C/angel..I know the cartoon character you mean..and I laughed because that was definitely the case here! jeanne..luvs...wish you were there...wish you were there!! Glad you liked it all.. Shee..thanks for the compliment...I've seen your pic..and I feel 'You' are the adorable one!! Punk...glad I didn't let you down. I know what you mean about buying it then think about it later...I try to do that..but this time around...I think I was so overwhelmed...I got 'Stupid' !! :( As far as putting it all away... I really had to work hard at it today...finding places to squeeze things in. I'll have to go back to rearrange and change where they went.. that's the hardest part...and it's getting harder. Gosh, I feel one day when I'm gone, they're gonna say.. This was one 'Sick' lady...with all these dishes!! jane

Thanks everyone:) The plan is to take off the arms and candleholder and leave the wings,it looks good on the peak of the greenhouse. I'd like to paint the wings lavender,the angel is already aged looking. The plate and saucer are cracked and chipped so they're going into mosaics,the dainty cup is going to go on another chandelier birdfeeder that turned out to be a squirrel feeder;those sweet little tea cups apparently are the same size as a squirrels behind. Seems they can sit in one cup and reach over to the next one and eat at leisure,they are however kind enough to dump plenty of seeds on the ground for the birds.
