Full StoryWhile checking over the 40, two year old, blueberry plants, that I put out last year, I noticed that they had some reddish brown elongated coloring on some of the stems. Mainly last years growth. From what I can tell from searching the net, it looks like shoestring virus. The remedy for shoestring virus is to take them out and start over.---- I'm trying to control myself at this time.--- Before I yank them out, I'd like to make sure that it is a virus and the dirty deed must be done. Let me give you more details. I planted 2 rows each from different suppliers. Both rows have had the same treatment, fertilizer, soil acidifer, water, etc. and are about 12 feet apart. One row is showing signs of the blotchy irregular colorings on some stems and yellowing of leaves and some leaves are showing red coloring. The varieties are Blue Crop and Blue Ray. The one row seems to be doing well but I'm afraid that the problem will spread to them as well. Can anyone help? This is a real bummer! Luke
