SW Colors for Suite of Offices no natural light
Comments (1)For a lighter green "Ryegrass" (#6423) with "Moonraker" (#6701) -- a more yellow color. Or how about "Navajo white" (#6126) (a much warmer white) and "Rookwood Jade" (#2812) The key is to add LOTS of lamps around the rooms for "warmer" lights. A desk lamp or two -- and a standing lamp ...... Add touches of deep red or pumpkin orange -- maybe in posters or artworks -- for more warmth too ..... Here's a direct link to the SW website -- click on the Color Visualizer on the left-hand side of the screen. Then click on the Launch button. Choose one of the dining room virtual photos to play with the colors ..... Just some thoughts! Comments (8)Depends on what type of white that you want. If you want a crisp white w/ no undertones of any color but is still rich, bright and vibrant w/o being cold I'd highly recommend SW High Reflectance White. The paint guy described it as pure white w/ extra 'oomph'. I recommend viewing the chip on the SW white collection handout. You can see how it stands out amongst all of the other whites. SW HRF is typically used as a base to add other tints to. Since there are no tints this color picks up and reflects back large blocks of other colors quite easily. I hated it in my hallway where it turned pink becuase of my stained glass window. I love it in my office becuase there are no other outside color influences - just blues in the form of flowers and pillows. Here it is in my office. I chose it for this room becuase I wanted the wall color to stand out and hold it's own combined w/ all of the black and white.: Here is SW Pure White in my LR at one point which has a NE exposure and low light. I had a hard time getting the right white becuase of all of the green foliage outside of the window. This was just a very soft white w/ no yellow or creamy tones. Really liked it a lot! Please don't judge me on the sad silk floral whatever in the vases - I was just trying to visually figure something out!:...See MorePlant for office with no windows?
Comments (2)Just about any of the house plants you see for low light should do well in your office. You can try sansevieria, pothos or heart-leaf philodendron. I'm suggesting them because they don't need a lot of special care, and are easy to keep looking neat, which might be important to you in an office setting....See MoreCould you help me pick an office plant?
Comments (8)You can use the plant wizard below to view house plants by light level: http://www.houseplant411.com/pick-the-right-indoor-houseplant I feel like my office is pretty bright and it is ~14k lux and I am growing: Monstera deliciosa Philodendron Xanadu Chlorophytum Amaniense Syngonium podophyllum Sansevieria trifasciata One thing you got going for you is you can get the plant(s) close to the light and get higher light levels. Plants with low light requirements would be a safe bet, but if there something you like with medium light requirements I'd say give it a go because getting something you like and want is important. If it doesn't grow well you can probably find a brighter place for it at home near a window....See Morektd125
