Grapes - vines gone wild.

A few years ago, I planted a Thompson and 2 Chardonnay grapes. They were pretty sad for awhile, which I attributed to their being too close to the ocean dampness. However, after they reached the top of the arbor - they were pruned rather severely, and wasn't too sure they would survive.

They suddenly took on a rush of new growth, with the warmer weather, and now the entire arbor is a jungle of growth. The only think is there is only one or two bunches of grapes.

Did I kill off all of the fruiting vines - or?
