It Feels Good To Be Done
Comments (44)Doing yardwork is actually something I crave during Winter, so I'm happy to be able to still find things to do. I finished putting down a layer of leaves, and today I finally finished covering one section of the garden with coffee grounds -- and started the next section. At this rate it'll probably take another month or two -- or longer if we get enough snow to impede my daily walk to Starbucks. So here are some pics of the main beds in the back yard -- nothing glamorous, just the garden being put to bed. I didn't take pics of the two side beds or the front. After putting down fertilizer in Spring, I'll put a thin layer of fresh mulch on top to hide whatever leaves have risen up from below the coffee grounds. And I'll have to do more work on the "lawn"...... :-) ~Christopher...See MoreI feel Good, but Tired Now.
Comments (21)Spring is way too far away! I just came in to rest, but after today, other than moving about 13 of my own seedlings into "acceptable" places in the garden, and one last order of about 20 DL's that should be here Mon/Tue, I am almost done..........planting that is! Then comes the cleaning up of the beds so that when I actually get to see them this winter they are presentable. It never ends, but as everyone says...THIS IS THERAPY!!!! After dealing with people and problems all week long, what better therapy than caring for things that not only will not talk back to you, but will reward you for your tender care?!? Kay, I understand the overdoing it part after being held down.... I am compensating this fall for all of the time that I gave to others rather than myself this spring/summer. I wasn't going to do ANY purchasing of DL's this fall, but everything that I have bought and the gardens I have created have made me feel good about doing something form myself again, and it was much needed. It is an addiction, as well as a way of staying sane! Now we just have to endure the wait... but what a wonderful reward there will be at the end!!! :) Julie...See MoreMicrofiber cloths that feel 'normal' to the touch
Comments (4)If they feel "normal," as you put it, they won't work as well. The strange feeling you get with good microfiber cloths is caused by the finely split fibers that attract and hold the dirt you're trying to remove. The finer the fibers, the better they work. And the finer the fiber, the more they grab and your skin, giving you the sensation you don't enjoy. Sorry, but you can't have it both ways....See MoreEver feel like you have 'lost' your touch?
Comments (5)when i'm ready to re-do a room or design a new home what works for me is to find a pic ( pics) of a room I love from magazines. I post the pic up on my refrig or another place I'm sure to see the pic all day long. I keep looking at the pic until I say yeah or nay I can live with that. Than I copy the pic as closely as possible. That includes wall colors, furniture, floor.etc. I'm not saying you buy the exact furniture, but rather use the color schemes and furniture styles you see in the magazine pic and than try and match it up with your own budget....See Moreken_adrian Adrian MI cold Z5
